44- Angle City
Dive site number 44 - Angle City is an easily accessible dive site, with plenty of parking and a simple entry for a hassle-free start to your dive.
The site features two shallow reef systems, making it ideal for Open Water divers. You can swim peacefully among colorful corals and lively reef fish, enjoying the calm and orderly environment.
A special highlight is just 130 feet behind the buoy: one of Bonaire’s largest coral nurseries. It’s fascinating to see how the coral grows here and contributes to the conservation of reef life.

💡Personal advice💡
- My route from the shore is directed toward the buoy, so at the end of the dive you can easily navigate back to shore.
- Angle City has two shallow reefs, making it perfect for Open Water divers. Between the reefs, the bottom in some areas drops below 60 feet (≈18 meters), so use your dive computer to cross safely without going too deep. I usually cross at around 33 feet (≈10 meters).
- I prefer the left side of Angle City because the reef is shallower there, allowing more light to reach the corals and making the colors really stand out. The diversity of corals and fish is also noticeably greater on the left. Additionally, the coral nursery is located on this side, making it even more interesting to explore.
