13- Tolo
Dive site number 13 - Tolo, located in the north of Bonaire, is a dive site that starts with a gentle slope and remains relatively shallow at the beginning. Despite its northern location, currents here are usually mild, making it suitable for divers of various experience levels.
The left side of Tolo is particularly interesting, with shallow areas featuring protruding and intersecting coral blocks that extend right up to the coast. Some of these overhanging coral structures are even visible above the water, as seen in the background of photo 5. These formations add variety to the reef and are easy to explore in calm conditions. Tolo is also known as Ol’ Blue, a name inspired by the strikingly clear blue water at this location.

- On the far left of the parking lot, there is a small bench. Just beyond the bench, you can reach the beach via three steps and enter the water.
- I use the buoy at Tolo to navigate my entry and exit. Once I reach the buoy, I begin my dive against the current.
